Jared Cohen
Coach
USA
Jared’s personal philosophy, passion, and purpose is to equip people to become extraordinary lifelong learners about themselves, their relationships, and their pursuits, so that they are more capable of living interesting, fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Jared’s professional coaching journey began in 2006 when he was an overnight camp counselor. In 2010, his perspective on coaching widened as he began pursuing CrossFit. Since then, he has been incredibly active training and coaching at the intersection of health/wellness, fitness, human performance, and organizational psychology–in particular, executive coaching and leadership development.
Prior to earning his MBA, with an emphasis on organizational psychology, and a Master’s in Sport and Performance Psychology, Jared was a seasoned, enthusiastic, and dedicated CrossFit, Olympic Weightlifting, and mobility coach.
Since his masters’ programs, Jared has specialized in equipping leaders with a plethora of mental models and skills-based practices to fast track their ability to leverage their experience and accelerate their expertise. He delivers customized leadership and team development workshops for executive teams to help them examine how they operate and provide them with frameworks for evolving their mindsets and behaviors.
Jared is one of the lead facilitators and instructional designers for the Los Angeles Department of Health Services’ Leadership Development program. Additionally, he has worked with athletes, fitness enthusiasts/coaches, musicians, business owners/executives, newly promoted leaders/managers, physicians, sales representatives, software engineers, video game developers, call-center operators, and government employees. Fun fact: For one year, Jared worked as a cognitive enhancement coach for TSA officers to help them improve their working memory, reaction time speed and accuracy, heart rate variability, and overall vigilance and wellbeing.
When not coaching, training, reading, and/or writing, you can find Jared geeking out about John Mayer, The Grateful Dead, and Marvel movies.
